What's Corrine Up To?
Monday, May 23, 2005   By: Juan Paxety

What's our buddy, Third District Representative Corrine Brown (D-Fl) up to now? Taking care of the servicemen and women in Jacksonville? Working to amend Social Security so that black men will have a statistical chance of collecting some of the money they pay? No, of course not.  She's using her time to sponsor  House Congressional Resolution 160 - something that has no legal significance:

Recognizing the historical significance of Juneteenth Independence Day, and expressing the sense of Congress that history should be regarded as a means for understanding the past and solving the challenges of the future.

Thanks to Plogress Report, which tracks legislation by each representative.

If you don't know Corrine Brown, she comes from one of the gerrymandered, segregated congressional districts forced on the State of Florida by federal election laws.
