Super Bowl
Monday, February 07, 2005   By: Juan Paxety

And a Beatle

As others have written, the Super Bowl was played in Jacksonville yesterday.

And Paul McCartney sang at half-time.

He had played on this field once before - as a member of The Beatles on the band's first American tour. It was September 11, 1964, the day after Hurricane Dora passed through causing $300-million dollars in damage.  23,000 people braved the still 40-mph winds to see the band.
