Eight members of the 3rd Infantry Division were baptized in the desert on Wednesday. The above photo is a wire service photo. There are many surprises - a sailor, born in Haiti, on watch aboard the USS Cowpens, the Coast Guard on patrol in the Persian Gulf, and sand, sand, sand.
