The FBI profile claims the sniper(s)

• is Caucasian;

• is male;

• likely is in his late 20s to early 30s;

• has access to two vehicles;

• may be working in tandem with a second individual;

• lives in Montgomery County, Md.;

• was thrown "over the edge" about a month ago by some incident or experience.

How could this happen? My take - The FBI is used to profiling criminal murderers, traditional organized serial killers - not political murderers. Comparing the victims of the Beltway Blaster yields a very different profile than a comparison of victims of a traditional organized serial killer. Ted Bundy, for instance, preferred young women with long hair parted in the middle. The Beltway Blaster did not show a preference - thus, it's clear to me that this was not the sexual fantasy killing that's typical of organized serial killers such as Bundy.
