Governor appeaser

Louisana Governor Kathleen Blanco has firmed up her plans to visit Cuba and to prop up the castro regime. The New Orleans Times Picayune reports she will visit from March 8-11 in an effort to bring business to the state.

A spokeswoman for the governor said no meetings were planned with President Fidel Castro during her visit, which was announced previously with no firm date. The relaxation of a trade embargo three years ago allows the sale of U.S. food, agricultural, medical and some wood products to Cuba.

A.M. Mora y Leon frequently writes that the Bush Administration is tightening the embargo.  It doesn't look that way to me.
