Hotlink Hell Where my bandwidth went I found out where my bandwidth went, now that I have a decent hosting service with good web stats. It seems a 9/11 conspiracy site, one of those that says no plane hit the Pentagon, hotlinked to one of my photographs of the jumpers from the WTC. Then a bunch of the kiddies at buddy4u.com and myspace.com copied the page to theirs - and when their two friends load their page to see how cool they are, the photo loads from my site and I'm hit with bandwidth. Does anyone know of a way to stop hotlinking to photos? I guess I could always replace the photo with hard-core porn. |
